Fried Chicken Sandwich with Clearfield® Cheese

The Torch Chicken Sandwich

We don’t use the word “torch” lightly with this recipe! It brings the heat but it also brings the flavor – chicken, cooling slices of tomato and lettuce, the delightful crunch of French-fried onions, and Clearfield® Hot Process Pepper Jack. All in every bite.

Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp
  • Hot Sauce
    1/2 Tsp
  • Breaded Chicken Breast*
    4
  • Corn Dusted Hamburger Buns
    4
  • Clearfield® Hot Process Pepper Jack American Cheese
    8 Slices
  • Green Leaf Lettuce Leaves
    4
  • Red Tomato
    1
  • French-Fried Onions
    1 Cup
  • Pickle Chips

We suggest serving with seasoned fries dipped in extra hot sauce or additional hot mayonnaise mixture.

Directions

  1. 1.

    In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and hot sauce. Set aside.

  2. 2.

    Prepare breaded chicken breasts according to directions.

  3. 3.

    Place 2 slices of Clearfield® Hot Process Pepper Jack American Cheese on top of each chicken breast.

  4. 4.

    Place 1 lettuce leaf on the bottom of each hamburger bun.

  5. 5.

    Add the cheese-covered chicken breasts.

  6. 6.

    Place a few tomato slices on each sandwich.

  7. 7.

    Add pickle chips & even distribute the French-fried onions between the sandwiches.

    Spread the top of each bun with hot mayonnaise and cover with the top of the bun.
