When you think of a deli or café sandwich that truly melts in your mouth, chances are it’s a Tuna Melt. Our version is made on toasted ciabatta bread, so it’s creamy, crunchy, tangy – and cheesy. From the golden crust to the filling, it’s perfect for an easy lunch or dinner.
Ingredients

Solid White Tuna in Water – drained, flaked1 can (12 oz.)

Mayonnaise2 Tbsp.

Red Onion- Small, Diced1/4 Cup

Small Red Tomato, sliced1 ea.

Salt1/4 Tsp.

Pepper1/4 Tsp.

Small Ciabatta Rolled- Split, Toasted4

Clearfield® White American Cheese16 slices
Directions

1.
In a mixing bowl mix together tuna, mayonnaise, onions, and season with salt and pepper.

On the lower portion of the Ciabatta Rolls layer 2 slices of Clearfield® American cheese each.

3.
Layer a few tomato slices, then evenly spread with tuna mixture onto each sandwich.

Layer the remaining 2 slices of Clearfield® American cheese on each sandwich.

5.
Place on a sheet pan; broil in the oven until the cheese has melted. Watch closely to avoid browning.

Cap with Ciabatta Roll top.

If desired, place under the broiler again to warm/slightly toast the top of the bun. Watch for doneness.
