Sandwich with Clearfield® Cheese

Buffalo Chicken & Clearfield® Cheese Sandwich

Sometimes you want a sandwich you can really sink your teeth into. By using pre-sliced Buffalo Chicken, this recipe makes it quick and easy to pile that smoky spicy meat high, layered with the perfect partner: Clearfield® White American. Or, if you want to ratchet up the spice level, try our Hot Process Pepper Jack.

Ingredients

  • Sliced Buffalo Chicken
    1/2 lb.
  • Clearfield® White American Cheese
    4 Slices
  • Mayonnaise or Garlic Aoili
    2 Tbsp.
  • Fresh Spinach, trimmed and washed
    1/4 cup
  • Bakery-Style Buns
    2

Optional Celery & Bleu Cheese Salad Dressing for a side.

Directions

  1. 1.

    If buns are un-cut, carefully slice them horizontally in half.

  2. 2.

    Remove a little of the inside of the top bun to make the bread less thick.

  3. 3.

    Start with the bottom portion of the buns. Spread your choice of mayonnaise or garlic aioli on the cut side of the bread.

  4. 4.

    Divide the spinach between the 2 sandwiches.

  5. 5.

    Cut the 4 slices of Clearfield® American Cheese in half to make 8 pieces.

  6. 6.

    On each bottom bun, diagonally lay 1 half slice of cheese across the spinach. Diagonally layer the other half slice of cheese the opposite way to make an “x”.

  7. 7.

    Divide the sliced buffalo chicken between the sandwiches in layers.

  8. 8.

    Arrange the next 2 half slices of cheese across the chicken on each sandwich in a similar diagonal fashion.

  9. 9.

    Cap each sandwich with the tops of the buns.
