Gourmet Burger with Clearfield® Cheese

The Torch Burger

Torch your taste buds in the best possible way, with this spicy, fresh, and crunchy burger. The hot sauce and jalapeños are perfectly paired with Clearfield® Pepper Jack cheese, all cooled off with mayo and lettuce, and topped with onion rings between two classic burger buns.

Ingredients

  • Real Mayonnaise
    2 tbsp.
  • Hot Sauce
    ½ tsp.
  • Ground Beef
    1 lb.
  • Fresh Jalapeños - sliced
    2
  • Clearfield® Hot Process Pepper Jack American Cheese
    8 slices
  • Sesame Seed Hamburger Buns
    4
  • Green Leaf Lettuce Leaves
    4
  • Fried Onion Rings
    8 each

Directions

  1. 1.

    In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and hot sauce. Set aside.

  2. 2.

    Make 4 patties with the ground beef. Cook the burgers on the grill for about 5 minutes on each side depending on the doneness you prefer.

  3. 3.

    Place 2 slices of Clearfield® Hot Process Pepper Jack American Cheese on top of each burger. Continue to grill a few minutes more to melt the cheese (covering the burgers with a grill safe lid will quicken the cheese melt).

  4. 4.

    Spread a layer of hot mayo on the bottom bun. Layer with lettuce, the burger patty, fresh jalapeño slices and fried onion rings. Spread the top bun with hot mayonnaise and cover.

    Serve with fries or chips.
